FAQs

Retreats and Classes

What happens once I sign up for one of your Retreats or Classes?

Once you sign up for one of my retreats, and pay your non-refundable deposit, within 24 hours you will receive a welcome letter via email, this letter will include all of the information that you will need to prepare for the retreat and pay your remaining balance. You will also be added to the private Facebook Group for the retreat so that you can get to know the other participants. In my retreats and groups I create a warm safe place for women only. You can expect to grow creatively in relationship to your art and with other women, as a group we will nurture each other.

When you sign up for one of my online classes you will receive an email from my e-course host Ruzuku inviting you to create your profile and come join the online classroom.

Is my Retreat deposit refundable?

No, due to the planning and logistics involved, all Retreat deposits are non-refundable.

Can I break the payment for my Retreat balance up into a few payments?

You can break your retreat payments into 2 installments. The first payment will be your registration deposit. Your second payment will be your balance payment which is due 3 months before your retreat start date.

Is my course fee for one of your in-person day long classes or weekend workshops refundable?

No, all course fees are non-refundable. However if the course is canceled due to acts of God or unforeseen circumstances then your course fee may be used on one of my other offerings both online and in person.

Paintings

Do you take commissions?

I have decided to stop taking commissions indefinitely, so that I can keep up with the high demand of my online shop and teaching, both in person at my art retreats and online in my Painting the Sacred Within e-course.

How can I be the first to know when new paintings are available?

The best way to find out about new painting shop updates is to follow me on Instagram, subscribe to my newsletter at the bottom of this page, and visit my blog. Unfortunately, I am not able to contact people individually to let them know when I've added new work.

Can I visit your studio in Charleston?

Yes, come on by! Currently, I am accepting visitors to my studio by appointment only. To make an appointment, please contact me.

Can I custom order a print or painting size?

No. I do my best to offer a variety of sizes of paintings, both on canvas & paper, and prints. Currently, I'm working on lots of paintings between the dimensions of 12 and 20 inches, and not offering quite as many larger paintings, but there are some bigger ones coming along in the studio!

What medium do you use?

All of my paintings are a combination of acrylic, watercolor & gouache. I paint on both canvas and wooden panels, and sometimes on paper.

What size paintings are you currently painting?

Right now, I'm mainly painting up to 20 by 20 inch paintings. I like painting mid-size works with small details. Recently I’ve begun to paint larger again, I will let you know through my website and social media when those pieces are available.

How can I purchase a painting or print?

All paintings and prints are for sale solely through my website. If a painting has sold, it will be marked on the top of each image. Once you click on the product you are interested in, you can add it to your cart and follow the prompts to the checkout. All available paintings are listed on my website. I also typically have additional paintings for sale in my studio.

A selection of my work is currently represented by Show & Tell Art & Design.

How can i view paintings that will be for sale prior to their online release?

Currently, I am releasing paintings in batches every six months. I will be posting images of each painting onto my Instagram as I paint them. This is a great way to see what will be available for any upcoming painting release! You can also make an appointment to visit my studio in Charleston to come pick out a painting in person, I love helping people find the perfect piece for them.

I've bought my painting, will it come ready to hang?

Original paintings up to 40 x 40" come stretched, wired and ready to hang. Larger pieces are shipped rolled in a strong cardboard tube and need to be brought to a framer for re-stretching.

Prints

Will you have prints again soon and/or are you out of prints?

I only offer prints in limited editions a couple of times a year and if you don't see them available in my shop, then they are currently out. Once a certain print has sold out and is taken off, POOF... it's gone.  For notification of when print editions will be released you can follow me on Instagram or sign up for my newsletter at the bottom of this page to be notified.

What type of prints do you create?

We print Archival Pigment prints, on either paper or canvas. The prints currently available in our shop are a Limited Edition of 250 unless otherwise stated.

What is the difference between a paper print and a canvas print?

The paper print is printed on cotton rag paper and comes with a white inch border. Paper prints need to be framed behind glass to protect against UV damage, moisture and dust. Canvas prints are printed on canvas and come with a two inch border to allow for stretching. Canvas prints have a varnish applied to protect against UV damage moisture and dust.

Do the prints come framed?

No, all prints, both paper and canvas are shipped rolled in a tube and would need to be taken to your local framers. Canvas prints need to be stretched. Once stretched, they are ready to hang, but a simple box frame or floating frame can be placed around them. This really depends on personal taste. Paper prints should be framed behind glass - with or without a matte (I like a 4 or 5 inch matte).

Do you sign your prints?

Yes, all prints are hand-signed by Faith. Paper prints are signed, titled and numbered on the front, in the white inch border. Canvas prints are signed titled and numbered on the back.
